From mid-November through Dec. 31, 2016, Life Care Center of North Glendale, Arizona, collected items for the food bank at Pure Heart Christian Church in Glendale.
The facility set a goal of 200 items and surpassed it by collecting 220!
“Pure Heart has been volunteering in our facility for many years, and this is our way of saying thank you,” said Michelle Jim, activity director.
Carole Kolodziej, case management director, organized the drive, and the environmental services staff delivered the items to the food bank on Jan. 4, 2017. This was the second year that Life Care Center of North Glendale has held the food drive.
“Food banks are very important to our large, urban area,” said Jim. “Many people who are on fixed incomes or who are working at low-paying jobs need assistance from time to time with food. The ministry was thrilled to receive such a large donation at one time.”
