On Oct. 27, 2017, the activities department at Life Care Center of North Glendale, Arizona, organized a facility Chili Cook-off.


Nursing, dietary, admissions, case management, activities and therapy associates all competed for the best recipes, bringing in their homemade chili for other associates, residents and visitors to taste and vote on. Among the entries were White Chicken Chili, Better with Bacon Chili, Cobweb Chili, Red Cardinal Chili, Cowboy Chili and Cluck Cluck Chicken Chili.


Two categories were up for grabs – Best-tasting Chili and Most Creative Booth.


“Everyone had a great time eating and looking at all the decorations,” said Andrea Perkins, executive director. “The staff did an outstanding job!”


The case management team won both categories for the second year in a row, thanks to their Halloween theme and Cobweb Chili.
